by Erin K. on I am writing a review for the nightclub, not the restaurant. The previous posters are correct, this place is like a sauna. And I'm not surprised that this is what everyone mentions, how could anyone not notice how HOT it gets in this club?! There is no ventilation, they pack you in like sardines, and everyone gets all sweaty and stinky.... GROSS. I've been forced to come here twice because for some reason my cousin and his girlfriend really like it here and they wanted to come for their birthdays. All the rest of us begrudgingly went out of obligation.... both times I've been here, I've left by 12:30 because it was too hot and crowded. I feel sorry for the employees who have to work in those conditions. Oh and my gin and tonic was so disgusting. I think it was all tonic and a splash of gin. I give it two stars instead of one because the people were pretty cool and unpretentious. Other than that, thumbs down.
by emma b. on horrible horrible horrible. it took my two friends and i TWO HOURS to get our food during a sunday brunch; our glasses were not refilled once; the hostess kept ignoring us/not seating us when we first showed up even though the place was nearly empty; we were told by the bartender that we could not have bloody marys because there was no more mix, only to see her produce more mix for the next people to ask; their "tofu scramble" comes with eggs and the chef is incapable of making it without; and i could really keep going. so many other good places to brunch in the city, i will never go here again.

Bootie has a moderate lack of single straight men, and DNA Lounge drinks are mediocre, but that's okay cause All I Wanna Do Is Dance. If you've never been there early enough to get a free CD, you can download the Best of Bootie 2005, 2006, or 2007 on their website.
