Came here Saturday night to find live music played by a great band! NO cover although the drinks were a bit expensive! Nice venue and a great place for a little late night dancing!

Good food.  Nice atmosphere and they are open late.  They also have music some nights.  Great for after work or after dinner drinks. Loved the salmon, empanadas and drinks.  Been many times and will be going back.

Admittedly, I have not been to all of the Amy's locations in Austin... just most of them. I have to say that this is probably my least favorite of the ones that I've been to. Why, dear reader, you ask? The main reason is that they don't take plastic. The last time I was here, it was my turn to pay for the ice cream for my partner and I and I was also buying for my friend that's going through a tough time. I don't carry cash and I HATE, HATE, HATE paying some ungodly fee for using an ATM that isn't from my bank. For the first time in a very long time, I had to write an effing check! I'm typically the person in line bitching about the person in front of me writing a check. It especially grinds my gears when they wait to start writing the check until after they get the total... like they don't know what store they're in, or the date, or how to sign the damn thing! I'm really happy that no one was behind us in line to bitch about me. Minus one star from the four that I would've given it. Other than that, it's pretty much your typical Amy's. Complete with entertaining employees, variable movie quotes to get free crush'ns, photo booth, and fabulous ice cream (and original ice cream recipes). Clientele is varied from all the snobby Arboretum shoppers (tapered off a bit with the opening of The Domain), to little kids, to couples following up their dates at The Cheesecake Factory. Something I DO really like about this location, though, is the awesome scenery to look at while you devour your tasty treat. I'll add half a star for that alone, so it's up to 3 1/2. I'll bring cash next time... or wait until its not my turn to pay.
