Pretty cool plain jane bar. Plenty of space to actually get a drink and hang out. The tvs and music isn't too loud so you can actually hear your conversations here. Coin-Op pool tables and mini shuffleboard upstairs. :)

Very unimpressed with this place. Odd location - I mean who honestly wants to go partying up on 52nd street? I always joke that I don't like going above 14th street but what started as a joke is turning into reality! Came here on a Saturday night. One of my promoter friends was throwing a party (free bottles, yay) that was supposed to be something to do with Hawaiian Tropic. I saw no tan girls in bikinis prancing around so I assume that was a hoax. Anyway, the place is pretty big, three stories in all. We were up on the third story tucked in a corner table in the back. Decor was alright, I guess, nothing special. Typical club with mirrors everywhere, low seating around the table and music loud enough to make your ears bleed. Line for the coat check was out the door, big turn-off. Stairs to the 2nd and 3rd floors are hard to find, which I found just stupid. Crowd seemed like the typical B&Ters, but I'm talking the far-out B&Ters... the kids who have to stay up till 6AM the next day to catch the first train back to Islip (ha). Not my crowd whatsoever. Overall just a really lousy place. Apparently they just renovated the club, but you can't tell. Really no reason to go here, unless you want to take a shot at a 25 year old group of female comm majors still living at home in Oyster Bay who have to get back to their parents' house the next morning.

I hate to leave a three star review cause it seems no different than saying I don't know. But for Nikki Beach I actually do have an opinion. After having walked by the door of this place so many times, always seeing a long line of really dressed up men and women, I went on a Friday night around 1:30am with two other girls. One of them implied to me the bouncer was kind of difficult cause he... seemed to dislike Asians-Hmmm. (As I'm writing this review I see this place is defined as Asian fusion-Huhhh?). Well we got in without a problem-Good. And no covers. It was packed inside. As I was passing the bar area heading to the other room deeper inside, I already noticed that there were so many guys there. So many. Two thirds. The crowd wasn't overly mature, mostly young professionals in their 20s and 30s, diverse, dancing. Since my friends and I were there to dance, the goal was easily achieved w/ the help of the center high stage/runway and super accessible music (mainstream hiphop pop and spradically a couple of 80s classic). No big surprises but the DJ did do a good job. Yet again, too many guys. A guy would never complain if a club has too many girls. But sadly I would.
