Me and all my friends were really looking forward to basking in the sun and drinking fancy drinks poolside at The Roosevelt, but nooooooo, you guys had to shut down Hollywood and Highland and rape the hotel with your high maintenance. So to that, I curse your children and am glad your show is over. Other than that, obviously the hotel is awesome. And on behalf of me and my friends, I apologize to the staff for moving other people to other rooms away from ours because of our loud partying. We also apologize for all the Smirnoff Ice we left everywhere. Y'see, there's this new game (or old, depending on who you are and where you live) called "Icing Bros" or "Bros Icing Bros" where when you're presented with a Smirnoff Ice, you must get on your knees and drink it. The fun part is tricking them into doing it. Anyways, again, we're sorry. But thanks for not kicking us out like you said you would! I do like your hotel very much, especially our David Bowie photo piece hanging in our room, and your nice classic lobby that's reminiscent of the L.A. Train Station, and the fact that you were nice enough to shuttle us to your sister hotel in Beverly Hills so we can ruin their rooftop pool. But, your ass needs to get rid of that stupid $30 overnight parking fee. I just wanna punch you in the face for that.
by Christel Nowden on I went to a fashion show after party here the other night. The ambiance and decor were AMAZING. Finally - a new club that actually has some SPACE! Even though people kept filing in, I still had room to breathe, and the bar was so big that you could always find space to get the bartender's attention. The DJ kept a good mix going of the classics and the new hot songs. However, on any other night, this club would probably be difficult to appreciate. I hear the door situation is horrendous (try getting past the door guys) and the drinks inside HAVE to be pricey (there was an open bar going for the party I was at). Just be sure you are on the list before you go. And that you are buzzed/drunk so you don't have to spend a fortune on drinks inside.
by Miao W. on I hate to leave a three star review cause it seems no different than saying I don't know. But for Nikki Beach I actually do have an opinion. After having walked by the door of this place so many times, always seeing a long line of really dressed up men and women, I went on a Friday night around 1:30am with two other girls. One of them implied to me the bouncer was kind of difficult cause he... seemed to dislike Asians-Hmmm. (As I'm writing this review I see this place is defined as Asian fusion-Huhhh?). Well we got in without a problem-Good. And no covers. It was packed inside. As I was passing the bar area heading to the other room deeper inside, I already noticed that there were so many guys there. So many. Two thirds. The crowd wasn't overly mature, mostly young professionals in their 20s and 30s, diverse, dancing. Since my friends and I were there to dance, the goal was easily achieved w/ the help of the center high stage/runway and super accessible music (mainstream hiphop pop and spradically a couple of 80s classic). No big surprises but the DJ did do a good job. Yet again, too many guys. A guy would never complain if a club has too many girls. But sadly I would.
