A few of my friends and I decided to try out Kokopelli last night and had a great time. The prices are comparable to (if not less) than any other high class tapas restaurant. What sets them apart is the flavor introduced in every dish on the menu. The chef even came out and introduced herself to us!! The managers and the owner were a delight to deal with and never lost a step in their excellent service. Anyways, the food is the real treat. I've been to butcher & singer, Barclay prime and had amazing steaks, Amada and Estia for amazing seafood and so many tapas restaurants for their food. The food at each of these restaurants tastes amazing but until now ive never found a restaurant that satisfied every tastebud from sweet to sour to spicy. It had a bit of everything to offer and none of the foods are "usual" foods offered by other restaurants, atleast not in their taste. The chef is a genius!!! I'll definitely be visiting the restaurant very soon! Suggestions: Try their stewed chicken, mussels, bison burgers and pecan pie!!!

I finally brought my happy ass to their Friday night monthly called Dutty Chutney... I was so completely pissed at having missed this for so long. :/ it's a reggae/bhangra soundclash, and it's ridiculous. EVERYONE dances, everyone is flipping their wigs/tams/turbans. Mandip was dj'ing most of the night, and he rocked it, but everyone was great. the place is small has nice tile mosaic surfaces, and it's not dirty (not that dirty is always bad in my book). the bar staff are cool, but frankly, if you go to a club or not depending on the "service", you're boring. ;) this is a great night with music that people can ***ACTUALLY***BE***SEXY*** to. yes, I'm sure. :) I have NOT been to other nights. this is a review of Dutty Chutney only.

I loved Mamajuana's cafe!!!! I went yesterday with 2 girlfriend expecting an early evening of tapas and drinks and we stayed there for more than 5 hours. We had an amazing time. The food was delicious, we started with a big platter of tapas that had the "maduro" stuffed with cod fish, crab and manchego croquetes, beef, shrimp and chicken pinchos. empanadas, calamari and everything was delicious!!! Then we each had a main course I had teh seafood stuffed red snapper with yuca mash and my friends has chicken and beef dishes which I assure you they were great!! We finished with a platter of dessert I fell in love with the ginger lemongrass creme brulee but everything was amazing!! Sangria awesome and service outstanding. A big thank you to Chef Felix and to our waiter Anthony!! i will definitely go back!!!
