I tried this place due to the rateclubs traffic and decided to take my family for a lunch meal. It was pretty packed and it obviously looked like a day restaurant/night club due to all the furniture. The food was pretty pricey at this place. I don't remember paying this much for Mexican food but then I live in San Diego so.... My favorite taco had to be the fish taco. Their sizes are pretty filling but this is definitely not authentic Mexican tacos like the ones you try in the street trucks in LA. The nachos had way too much cheese which converted 50% nachos in wet cheesy tortillas. The carne asada quesadilla was muy deliciosa!

This place is so cool...it reminds me of walking into a vampire den..super dark , cozy and romanic..... Love how it also does not really have a sign and it is off the beaten path in an obscure location. Only two items on the food menu, but they are yummy treats for El Vez's kitchen :)

*Review for restaurant only I have come here repeated times and every single time I leave a happy girl. The service has always been decent to good (there are a couple of hostesses that aren't the friendliest) and the food is dependable. One star off because the prices are pretty expensive for Mexican food. Highlights are the catrillion flavors of mojitos and margaritas and sangrias....the sangria is so good!! The chicken enchiladas are a heart attack waiting to happen but very addicting, and the fajitas are made with quality meat and ingredients. I will come back again and again, even for a cocktail hour before going out to other parts of the city.
