I have been to Element twice. First for Babyboogie, yep I am an mom and had an blast when I did go. I hope they bring it back, especially since now my son is older. Recently I got to experience Hunkamania for my best bud b-day on Sat night. Let just say I enjoyed every minute of it. The dancers are extremely friendly and flirty. Nope I was not in the VIP spot, because I thought $20min for drinks were just too much... I felt like VIP being upstairs surrounded by hot guys. I love the music too. The D.J. rocked! The drinks was ok not too strong, but not weak either. The club is an nice size. My friends and I had an blast! I was shocked all the dancers were hot. Of course best part after the show was over was getting one of the hottest guys to take an pic with me!

Went here for drinks with a friend on Fri. evening. We sat at the bar and ordered and also got a couple of the bar snacks (empanadas and nachos). Nachos didn't come for a while and the guy forgot to put them in, which isn't a big deal, but he was super nice about it and gave us a free drink for the inconvenience. I liked both the appetizers that we got. The pork nachos (not usually a big fan of pork) were pretty yummy and they put some kind of seasoning on t he chips that made them pretty unique. I like the decor, but it's nothing too exciting. I can see how it would make an easy transition from coffee bar to bar-bar. I'm still not sure how we didn't get a dessert because I saw some of them coming out and they looked g-o-o-d!. I would go again. It's in a nice location for walking to from union square but it also wasn't super packed when we got there around 6 PM. It definitely picked up a bit, but it was a nice atmosphere to talk and have drinks.

I would just like to needlessly confirm the already well-established opinion that the doormen are jerks. Let me say to begin with that I generally despise clubs. Despise. I would rather clean toilets than wait in line and pay a cover to go stand for hours on end in a stinky, poorly-ventilated room with hoards of desperate people, with no activity options other than shaking my hips monotonously, while paying 10X too much for watered-down drinks. Nonetheless, ashamed and angry, wishing that I had a spine to stand up to peer pressure, I stood in line last weekend for Slide with 7 of my friends. Some of us got stamped and walked up the stairs and waited. Then the bouncer stopped a couple of the guys because they were wearing sneakers. That's fine. But as the guys and some of the girls argued with the bouncer, he did the unbelievable... He grabbed one of us who was completely uninvolved (a person simply watching from the top of the stairs), and shoved him down the stairs and out, simply because he was part of the same group as the guys who were trying to get in. I've been to a lot of so-called "elite" clubs back in the day when I lived in L.A. and was more tolerant of the miseries of clubbing. But I've never seen bouncers this arrogant and rude.
