I can honestly say that after indulging in some Bobby Flay goodness my life has become better. I swear I am not over reacting. The Bobby Burger Palace made my stomach so content and happy that I smiled all weekend long. My life changed for the better on Friday after eating at BBP! The bf and I decided to check out this magnificent place because we love burgers and we have admired Bobby on the Food Network for years. So yes of course there was a line but it surprisingly moved quite fast. We ordered the Sante Fe burger, the LA burger, regular fries, sweet potato fries, a milkshake spiked with kahula and an anchor steam. After ordering we took our designated number, grabbed a seat at the S shaped bar and anxiously waited for deliciousness. We got our tasty beverages rather quickly. The kahula milkshake was unbelievable. The consistency was thick but you were able to drink it through the straw. And I'm pretty sure I will only be drinking milkshakes with kahula in them It was so good! A couple minutes go by and then the food arrives!!!! The appearance of the food was everything I expected from the Iron Chef. And the taste and the flavors were amazing and almost indescribable. I'll start with my LA burger which was cooked to a perfect medium rare. It was juicy and it didn't run all over the place which happens so frequently with burgers that aren't cooked to well doneness. It came with chedder cheese, watercress and avocado relish. The toppings were perfect and complimented the burger well. The burger was a perfect size meaning it completely filled me up and it was an easy burger to hold and eat. My BF got the Sante Fe burger with pickled jalapenos, blue corn chips and a queso sauce. He said it rocked and the corn chips gave it such an interesting texture. The fries were good. We got both the regular which came with a fry sauce and the sweet potato which came with a honey mustard sauce. I thought the fries needed some salt. But the dipping sauces were fun and tasty. They also have a variety of sauces for you to try at the table. There was a burger sauce, a chipotle ketchup ( I don't think I every want regular ketchup again!) and a couple other sauces I can't seem to remember! It was a great dining experience from beginning to end. The service was friendly and efficient, the decor was groovy and super clean, the food was seriously on point and the prices were very reasonable for how awesome everything was. This place is absolutely worth a trip. Please come hungry!!!

I recently went to ONE for the first time since they changed chefs, and I was sorely disappointed. it was MUCH better and more imaginative when I went a few years ago. The bread and the sauce they gave fr the bread was quite good. When I ordered a pasta dish, i was asked if I wanted the appetizer or the main course size. I picked the main-course size, but the portion given was TINY. Now, I think most portions in the U.S. are quite oversized and ridiculous, but $20 for the amount they gave was horrible- it was not worth it. The sauce was also non-existant, and the waiter did not even know that chevre means goat cheese. The service was quite lacking, and several items were brought out incorrectly. The waiter also tried to upsell us on a pricier wine 9saying it was much better), but when asked about the taste, he said he couldn't tell us, as he does not drink. Now I can appreciate giving recommendations, but have a reason other than "it costs more." Overall, I think the restaurant has lost a lot of its sparkle, flavorwise, from a few years ago. I don't believe I'll be going back. I'll instead choose to go to Two Urban Licks, its sister restaurant, that knows better than to mess with its menu favorites.
