Small, intimate venue where every seat is a GREAT seat! Drinks and appetizers are a little pricey. Rrazz room brings in so many different artists and talents. One night I seen The Shirelles and the other night I seen Lil Kim.. loved both shows! The bar area is really nice as well.

Comparing 'The Circle' to 'Le Cercle' this place cannot compete. The Circle is not really well decorated and theres no ambiance to it. The club itself is like 4 corners and a roof. If I could do my night at The Circle all over again, I would probably come really early. Almost like 'Le Cercle' early say 9:30pm so I won't be forced to get bottle service at the bar lol. God it sucks having one eye on the Grey Goose and the other eye scanning the dance floor. Oh yeah in terms of girls to guy ratio? I have no clue how it happened but I think the guys totally out weighed the girls which doesn't make sense especially when they have a strict anti male door policy. Overall The Circle was fun. If you're an out of towner Korean then hit this place up but be prepared for bottle service or get there early.

We caught the 8 PM show of "R n R," featuring Rick Braun and Richard Elliott. The band was tight--love the double-horn action. Sound system and acoustics are awesome. (We sat at Table 103, on the lower mezzanine.) The food was good but the service was disappointing. They didn't bring part of our order until I reminded them twice and it came more than an hour into the show. Wait staff's check-in re: drinks, etc, was not great. We found ourselves asking the charming door man, Reggie, to call for a waiter to come take our drink order. (Are they understaffed? The two of us spent ~$225 on food and tickets and we weren't even in the restaurant--we were ordering from the bar menu.) Drinks afterwards in the upstairs lounge were served promptly--no complaints there. We'll be back because that's where some of the best jazz in the area is, but I do hope the service comes up a notch or two, to where it will match the acoustic and talent level at Yoshi's. If it's better next time, I will update this review. (Note: At Yoshi's in Oakland we've always had good service.)
