Mid-week this place is really dull. It was practically empty. The 'entertainment' was so bad that it was somewhat entertaining that it was so bad, if you know what I mean. As a purely food-serving establishment, it would never survive in San Francisco. Other than the black and white bean soup, the rest of the meal was a meh, but for the price, it made me feel positively ripped off. If I wasn't footing the bill, maybe I'd go back on a Fri/Sat night to see if maybe I just got the B-team.

Definitely a low key, chill bar. It's very dim and the music is surprisingly awesome! We went on a Saturday night and they were playing some old school music like Biggie and Tupac, good stuff!! This bar is very small and relaxing, lots of seating and still lots of floor space to dance (even though NO ONE was dancing the whole night...). The bar is pretty damn small but the bartenders always get the drinks perfect. Very nice staff. One thing I didn't enjoy was the guy to girl ratio. I mean, it was Saturday night and there were about 15 girls to 1 guy!!! Not my thing...at all. But hey, guys!! I know you would love that ratio! For us girls who like to look at some eye candy, this place is definitely not the place to do so. But if you just want to bring a group of friends, lounge around, and get your drinks on time, then come here and have some fun!

When I was like 16 or 17 The Phoenix Landing had the crazy aire of mysticism about it... We would stand outside in very baggy pants and wonder what was going on inside. Now that i'm older, i can tell you that these crazy irish guys are responsible for hosting nuff electronic music in Boston. Question, will they ever open upstairs again?
