I danced for five hours at the last Bootie dance party...my feet were sore for two days and it was so worth it. In preparation for Bootie I downloaded a bunch of the mash-ups and listened to them over and over at work and got really hooked. We ended up getting to the DNA lounge really early cause we're cheap and only wanted to pay half the cover. There was hardly anyone around when we got there but the club filled up really fast and by the time the House Band came on it was packed. All the music was amazing...mashups are the best! The upstairs lounge dance scene is also really awesome. Last night they had the French DJs from BootieParis there and they were amazing! Also, drinks are really reasonable, about $6 each, but I still definitely suggest drinking a lot beforehand...it will help with the dancing...and the foot pain.

Southern food with a gourmet twist. South City Kitchen is absolutely delectable and I loved it both times I have eaten there. My first experience was brunch and I had the most amazing Buttermilk Pancakes with this homemade apple butter and a Georgia Pecan maple syrup that just oozed Georgia flavors. My next trip, I had to try the Buttermilk Fried Chicken with the bourbon gravy on the mashed potatoes. This was the juiciest (sorry, mom) fried chicken in the city (barely beating out Agnes & Muriel's). If you like Southern food, but a little more upscale, I think you will really enjoy the food. The wait staff is quite competent and attentive and the prices are really good. And if you have enough room to try the Banana Pudding - let me know how it is. I'm just too full each time I eat here!
