by Na Urben on For years I only came here for the Mexican Martinis. I was a broke college girl that was more willing to spend by money on a strong drink than an entree over $10. That being said - I finally ate here and LOVED the food. I am a big fan of cilantro, so many items on the menu were right up my alley. The salsa here is fantastic and they have great salads. I make it a point to stop by anytime I am in the area!
by Lisa P. on If you know what you're getting into when you come here, you will have a great time. Make sure you are prepared for loud club music, neon lights, and a stylishly dressed crowd sipping cocktails before noon sporting Wayfarers inside. It was the perfect spot to bring a Los Angelite guest. The food was actually quite delicious, pretty standard brunch fare. Can't go wrong with the bottomless mimosas, but for us the real winner was the Spark Plug shot - a mere $3 for an eye-opening, hangover-eradicating concoction of chilled espresso, vanilla vodka, and Kahlua. We were drunk by 1 but it was such a fun "we're on vacation" spot. Highly recommended.
by Lakenya Mansfield on I felt like I was in some kind of surreal dream, in which I ended up at a table at Buddha Bar with a bunch of my work mates, sharing a huge bottle of vodka, and screaming at the top of my lungs. It had to be a dream, because how else would I have ended up in an enormous club where, in order to get in with a group, you have to stand in line and then pay nearly $300 for bottle service...and someone actually said "ok"? Is this my life? I have to admit that the sheer size of this club was impressive. The Buddha was SO big. The ceiling was SO high. I had fun, because I was with fun people. The environment was secondary to me. All I know was that I woke up the next day in my hotel in the same shirt that I wore out that night, facing the wrong direction on the bed. If this is your goal, Buddha Bar should do the trick. This is not, nor should ever be, my goal.
