by Jana P. on My girl friends and I went bar hopping on our first night in NYC and we stumble into Candle Bar. At first, we didn't know that it was a gay bar or whatever but its okay... because we love this type of setting. Our bartender was great. The drinks were reasonable price since we were drinking shots of Hennessey and well drinks. Would love to come here again!
by Athens r. on WHATEVER!??!!! Everything did not go according to plan... (but I guess unplanned events are more exciting)--planned everything south, but a friend called so.. Picked her up @ Hickey (which was yes, north!),, then we headed Downtown SF. It was my first night out at SF, I think the streets needed more lighting. Found parking @ 4th street, then walked to the sports bar. There were no lines, so we got in like a breeze. I heard a "50 bucks" response from the man in front-- shelled out the entrance fee times three--the guy was looking slyly at me " Miss, its $15." My companies were laughing at me. "Youre not in San Jose to pay that much,sis!"that was my friend giggling. (like How would I know.) It had a pool area, a huge dance floor and a weird crowd. We ordered Margaritas and my cuz's Cranb-GG. smoking area was at the rear end (view was ugly with the gloomy buildings like hovering towers over the street)--huge TV by the bar. They said crowd was good before--wellps, I dONT CARE!!! get me outta here!!! We wre laughing at the music--u know that mexican channel when you change ur radio station? And my Joker friend was clapping and dancing Latina steps, i just cant catch my breath. We were like WTF!!??@@! lets get out'f here--well theres nothing wrong with the music--its just not for us. After a fit 15minutes--we were out. how to waste your money-- try this place. They were still cool and laughin, but I just Cant hide my frustration.
