I was here for all of 15 minutes. Do not go here unless you're on the guest list or know somebody. We were with a party inside and still managed to wait outside in their "for show" line for a good 10 minutes. If it was winter, I would have grabbed a taxi and went home. The doormen have that "I run the city" mentality and are hilarious to watch. Once inside, I wasn't impressed. The crowd was a bunch of young twenty-somethings with the odd creepy older guy gawking at the inebriated skanks making out with one other for attention. The "high class" image they try to convey at the door disappears once you cross the velvet rope. There is no dress code and the room is filled with punks. By the way, I thought you weren't allowed to smoke in nightclubs anymore. It seemed anywhere I stood, or sat, the person next to me was lighting up and blowing it in my face. And not only the conventional tobacco either. The music was alright. I don't like house music so it was nice to hear some hip hop. My advice, skip this place unless you're some desperate dude with a lot of money that wants to support drunken leeches all night for a smidgen of attention until last call.

I like the local. It stole my alcohol soaked heart with outdoor patio of booths, interesting cast of characters, and the giant 24 oz. cans of PBR. Seriously, they give you 2 x 4s of PBR.

Minx has been the worst place for me to eat and go drinking. I had tried to make reservations for dinner for 10 two weeks in advanced. When we arrived, I was told they had no information about our party, which was a complete lie. I talked to two managers and had email correspondence about our group. When we arrived for dinner the house was almost empty, they could have had tables for our party of 10 when we arrived. The dcor of the place was nice. That is the ONLY thing going for it. The food was sub par in taste. The prices were mildly priced for the avg. price per dish was about $20.00. The menu had few items to choose from. We lucked out that our server was average. The service was slow in bringing out our food. We had arrived at 8pm, then by the time our main dishes were served it was roughly 9:30pm. They constantly rushed our party to leave the dining area because they needed to set up for the club at 10:pm. That was ridiculous as well, because I had made bottle or VIP service for the club after dinner. Again the service and attention was very poor. I had to look for the management staff over and over the entire night asking about our bottle service for the club. You would think if a party is willing to pay over $1000 for dinks and dinner the staff would be attentive to the needs of the party, At MINX do not expect good service. I felt like I was invisible by the management when trying to get our friends into the club for drinks. I spent 2 hours inside the club trying to get the people in our party waiting outside for entrance. The management staff was very unhelpful with this as well. Why would my party wait 2 hours if we pay for bottle service? The general expectation of VIP service and bottle service is NOT to stand in lines. Apparently, I expected too much from this place. I was really disappointed in the service, and the dinner menu. The club service and trying to deal with management was even worse. SAVE your money, pass on MINX for dinner and especially don't go for the club. I have had bottle service all over LA and Las Vegas. This was absolutely the worst experience I have had out of all the restaurants and clubs that I have been too.
