SOB's is an institution. Nuff said. I love the intimate feel and the acoustics of seeing a show here. It's THE place to go to hear up and coming Soul artists or Soul music artists who aren't quite mainstream yet. If you are planning a trip to NY, check their event schedule and make sure you buy a ticket!

So this past Saturday night I went to the Starlight and it nice place but the live band was not so nice. The drinks were good and the have a ok cocktail menu I tried the Cable Car and really liked it . It was very easy to get a table without having reservation. Well me and my date sort of just took a table that had a reserved sign on it. Other than that I think anyone can enjoy the okay view of the Union Square area and the tiny dance floor with all the rhythemless people. And with a $15 cover charge yeah try to enjoy yourself as much as possible and help yourself to a table.

I really like this place... a very good mix of people I thought, and a dj that spun some very danceable beats. The energy was nice and the place was small but not tiny or crowded. The decor was very cozy but still club-like. A lot of ironical twists, as you can imagine -- had a great time. Will go to again!

No sign out front. Housed in an industrial part of town. Two gay guys dressed like Tobias Funke, dancing to 80's disco goth rave mixed by some dude whose last name is Murphy. It's like "Being John Malkovich" meets an American Apparel advert, and with really expensive drinks.
