by woojin k. on i went here two nights ago and had the 7-course tasting menu. it was incredibly mediocre -- the bland dishes lacked creativity and took forever to come out (some dishes took 30+ minutes). i liked the amuse bouche (some cream cheese with baked pastry) and it went straight down hill from there. i had thought the interior would be nice at least given it's starck and all, but that too was pretty weak. they had stapled one of the benches' upholstery because it was presumably falling apart (or maybe they were intentionally trying to add hipness, in which case they failed and looked just poor). yes, stapled. the waiter was annoying too. looked like some punk kid off of the streets. "do you need some help?" -- "yes, please go away so i can look at this menu for god's sake". the sommelier was nice at least. in the end, they docked 15% off my 100%-overpriced bill. they realized i was just sitting there sucking on my thumb waiting 30 minutes for the dishes. don't waste your time here. go straight to the bazaar at the SLS.
by angelica w. on I have no idea what the hype is all about. You walk in and there's 15 cashiers when you only need 5. This place is expensive. The burger is small with lettuce falling every which way. The fries were soggy and salty. The place is a mess. People need to clean up after themselves and they need more janitors too. Seriously. I prefer an In & Out burger all the way.
