I was dragged there by a friend who just went through a breakup and I owed him dinner... So Maggiano was his choice... would it be mine again??? Probably not?? I mean it was ok.. I just didn't think it was all that. First the place was packed, which should be a good sign, right? We got lucky and found a table at the bar area so we practically had no wait time ( it would have been 45mn to 1hr!). I guess reservations are recommended. Our server was very distracting and very distracted!!! She kept buzzing in and out and we couldn't keep up with her... she finally said something to the effect of she doesn't do this usually she goes behind the bar, so she is learning.. yay for us! Anyway, on to the food... I ordered the Gnocchi and my friend had the Zitti with Sausage. The Zitti was good... the gnocchi... meeeeeh... I couldn't get myself to eat the whole thing.. which by the way is a HUGE portion plus you get another portion to take home as well... cool deal I guess for $13. We also ordered some side dishes.. the red potatoes were overcooked and under seasoned the mashed potatoes were pretty creamy and flavorful. Overall not a bad place, but not worth the wait or the hype.. Imho.

Someone please tell me why I waited so long to step into Lime. Makes me wonder how I have lived in SF all this time without this experience! We walked in Saturday without a reservation. Disgraceful, I know. But if you go at the right time (1:00 to be exact), you can get seated pretty easily. Started our bottomless mimosas at the bar. Just be sure to only have one glass, because it's $2 refills at the bar. Go figure. After we ordered, boy, did the mimosas flow. My glass never hit empty, so it was impossible to figure out how much we had drank. The music was poppin, and so was the atmosphere. Think trendy nightclub without the DBs hitting on you. Definitely a good scene. Can't wait to go back!

I came here for a late dinner on Cinco de Mayo and was looking for a "festive" experience. We were seated at a table that was the perfect spot observing the raucous groups who were clearly well into their Cinco celebrations. My date I and obviously had a lot of catching up to do (as far as drinking was concerned) so we figured our best bet was to split a pitcher of Mango Margaritas. The margaritas were pretty bland, but at least they weren't weak. The food, however, was pretty atrocious--aside from the mediocre guacamole the other two appetizers we ordered (Rock Shrimp Chalupitas and Lump Crab Quesadillas) were both fishy-tasting with a weird sauce globbed all over them. The two stars for this review are completely based on the attentive service and the fun atmosphere for Cinco de Mayo--any other night and I'd say this place is totally not worth it.
