I love the Clermont. The dancers are sweet and appreciate regulars who tip, although the bartenders are hit or miss. The bathrooms are generally not very friendly to gender nonconforming folk, as I get stares in the women's room and some guy friends of mine have gotten shit for using the stall in the men's room. The crowd varies between respectful hipsters and loud, horrible jerks who yell rude things at the strippers and don't tip. Listen, if you go to the Clermont, try to leave your body policing at the door AND TIP, DAMNIT.

Wow this place has really bad reviews but I just came from there and I had a great time. it was a birthday party and there were 11 of us. Free parking as stated. The service was good considering the size of our party, everything came out timely, they spilt the bills no problem, water glasses were constantly refilled and server was very accommodating and helpful with our "picky" party. My food was great!! I ordered something I cannot spell or pronounce but it was garlic shrimp in a sauce with rice and vegetables. It was soooooo good, the shrimp were so flavorful not just as if the seasoning was only on top of the shrimp. My party ordered the sample appetizer platter, the flautas? (spl?) were very good, nice and crunchy and soft at the same time, I dipped it in their fresh guacamole also very good. It also had some chicken things, best I can describe them is flat chicken fingers but huge and very good. The platter also had nachos which were just nachos but the beans were VERY good...I have never tasted better beans at a Mexican restaurant very flavored. I was stuffed by the time it was all said and done I could not eat another bite or sip of anything. The trick with the margaritas is ...DONT GET IT BLENDED.... it makes it watery, my party after discovering this from one persons ordered hence ordered ours on the rocks and they were very good and I dont even like Tequila. You could definitely taste the Tequila if its on the rocks so I think thats the trick. As it was a birthday the birthday people were give a big sombrero and ice cream with a candle in it and staff sang happy birthday. Overall, I found my experience here to be very good. I in Pasadena almost never but if I do end up in Pasadena in the future and want a place to eat I would return.
