Just got back from El Baron and I must rateclubs about it.  What a little gem this restaurant is.  My company that I work for just recently moved into new offices in Culver City and usually Wednesdays we all have lunch together in office but our tables have not been moved yet.  So our lovely President took us all out to this restaurant where we had, fish and beef tacos, salads, an amazing seafood soup, empanadas, frijoles, beans and rice, chips and GUACAMOLE! Inside there is dark decor but there is  definitely a vibrant aura about the place.  I'd love to see this place at night with salsa music and all.  Who is down to join me?

I don't know why this place has so few stars, I guess people are essentially impossible to please. I opened a tab cause it was my turn to buy drinks for everyone, and I think the bartender hooked me up, because cause I got 7 drinks for under 40 bucks... and it was the first time I even went!

I came here for a late dinner on Cinco de Mayo and was looking for a "festive" experience.  We were seated at a table that was the perfect spot observing the raucous groups who were clearly well into their Cinco celebrations.  My date I and obviously had a lot of catching up to do (as far as drinking was concerned) so we figured our best bet was to split a pitcher of Mango Margaritas.  The margaritas were pretty bland, but at least they weren't weak.  The food, however, was pretty atrocious--aside from the mediocre guacamole the other two appetizers we ordered (Rock Shrimp Chalupitas and Lump Crab Quesadillas) were both fishy-tasting with a weird sauce globbed all over them.  The two stars for this review are completely based on the attentive service and the fun atmosphere for Cinco de Mayo--any other night and I'd say this place is totally not worth it.
