** GORGEOUS RESTAURANT WITH EXCELLENT FOOD ** Had my doubts about this restaurant when I made my reservation for the DineLA Restaurant Week.  I guess the biggest complaint I hear from everyone is that the service at this restaurant is extremely slow.  BUT... that was not the case for me.  I had awesome service during my entire evening.  I came hungry and left very happy and satisified! Here's my notes on the food: AHI TUNA TARTARE:  Beautifully decorated with the quail egg served on top of the tuna tartare.  The server mixed ancho chile, pears, pine nuts, sesame oil together for you and the dish is served with 3 slices of toast.  This dish was awesome! LOBSTER RAVIOLI:  This dish was absolutely wonderful, but the only downside to this is that the entree only came with 4 pieces of lobster ravioli.  If I didn't share my friend's Braised Lamb Tajine with her, I would have left the restaurant starving. BRAISED LAMB TAJINE:  I loved this dish!  The smell of the lamb just made me drool.  Meat was perfectly cooked, and I definitely didn't need the steak knife to help me tear the meat apart.  Yum!  However, I didn't like the cous cous too much... I personally thought it was too sweet. And to end the evening, I ordered the MILK CHOCOLATE "CANDY BAR".  It was served over brownie and malt ice cream.  Not too sweet.  Just perfect :) CONCLUSION: I love everything about this place, the decor, the food, the service.  The only thing I don't like is that it's on Sunset, and only offers valet parking for $10.

You wouldn't have guessed such a good place is in that shopping center.  I had driven past it several times when hitting Publix, but never felt like taking a chance and dropping in.  Finally, one of my friends told me he was going there and the food  was excellent.  So I decided to give it a try tonight! It was around 9m when we arrived, so the place had very few tables occupied.  We were greeted and seated immediately by a very friendly hostess.  Our waitress was on her heels filling our water glasses and asking if we'd like to have any drinks. The menu has a wide variety of sushi and Thai dishes.  The prices were pretty good for what you were getting.  I got the spider roll as an appetizer.  For entrees we ordered the basil chicken and broccoli with beef.  We were surprised to have them bring us some little house salads out while we waited since they were not mentioned on the menu.  Rather tasty and it was more than just lettuce and ginger dressing unlike most other places! The spider roll arrived and it was nice and warm like it should be.  Very tasty and flavorful like it should be! Our meals arrived and I was definitely satisfied with such a large portion they brought.  I was expecting the standard brown sauce on my broccoli and beef, but it was actually very fresh and light.  A pleasant change.  And very delicious. The basil chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Our glasses were constantly filled and we were checked on by two waitresses, the manager, and the chef while dining!  Service definitely was 5 stars for us! Since the meal was so delicious we splurge for desert.  I had the friend green tea ice cream.  Very yummy!  Also order was mango ice cream.  Also very tasty. The atmosphere was really nice inside.  You would not have guess the decor would be so cool.  Not to mention the sink in the men's bathroom is way cool and unique!  Ladies, not sure if you got the same thing, but you've got to get one at your house! For two people to have two teas, two salads, one fried sushi roll, two entrees, and two desserts, the total came to $49 before tip.  The drinks were $2 and the desserts were $6 each, so not bad at all. Yes, there are more expensive things like the duck and sea bass... but I think those were around $16 to $25 respectively which is great. The also have a full ba,r though we did not order from it. We left very satisfied with the food, atmosphere, service, and the overall price.  We are definitely heading back to try the other items out and will update how the rest of the menu tastes!

Dining at the Supperclub on a Friday night is a one-of-a-kind experience like no other. When Jessica, Connie and I first arrived, we were greeted by a drag queen diva in a dramatic dark hallway, and then escorted into the bar for farm fresh martinis. Red leather walls and an excess of disco balls hung just right had the gliteratti buzzing with excitement and anticipation for what was in store. The doors flew open at eight o clock, and we were escorted to our beds to kick off our heels, lounge and just take in the view. The 5 course meal was drawn out over 4 hours, and during that time, we became intimately involved with the folks in the show -- the drag queens, ariel acrobats and fishnet flaunting servers were not there just for our viewing pleasure, but encouraged us to let loose, relax and experience all of our senses fully. The floor manager, Liam, was a real sweetheart and told us the Supperclub recenty brought over their chef from the Amsterdam club to work over the menu. Alex the sous chef is a new force as well, and rumor has it there have been some big changes in the cuinary department. The *panna cotta marmalade dessert* alone had me believing in a revival. The best thing about the Supperclub? Connie got spanked! That's right, you heard me. She looks innocent, but that girl's got a wild streak.
