by Anne B. on Morimoto, how I love thee! The reservation process? Smooth. The hostesses at the door? Suave. The upstairs bar? Seductive. The entire experience? Sublime. My out-of-town friend and I had a hankering for a nice sushi-inspired dinner. After arriving early for our 8pm reservation, we ordered cocktails upstairs. I had a champagne cocktail. Delish. We were escorted downstairs by a hostess who collected our drinks on a tray. Classy. Our server was wonderful. We ended up sending back a bottle of wine after tasting it (smelled weird). The waitstaff didn't even bat an eye and instead sent over the sommelier. We got a bottle of wine we loved! My friend got the duck which was fantastic, and I had the flank steak, also yummy. We ended up with wonderful desserts. I forgot the names but they were divine. I also used the restroom which was gorgeously decorated. The hostess hailed a cab for us at the end. Absolute perfection!!!!
by Margarita V. on Went bowling on a Tuesday night with friends and had a great time! Customer service was great. Your fingers are measured to find the right bowling ball for you where you get your bowling shoes. They have so many lanes and I didn't have to wait for one. The lanes look cool with the dim neon lighting but can be a little too dark at times to bowl on target. Someone broke the glass outside the pier when we left and they were even efficient to make sure no one else got hurt. Located by far west side river but great time! A little too much R&B music/videos and old school was played which is fine but they need to play more of a variety.
by Haywood Taki on Once again my reviews immediately follow and immediately contradict Neal's :) It's one of the few bars in Austin with great dance music - so many people dress up that it's fun to go just for eye candy, and the drinks are potent. It's fun - nothing more, nothing less.
