Arrived there around 9pm as the restaurant crowd was leaving, so we didn't pay cover and there was no line. Took a seat the bar, enjoyed a few happy hour drinks - I enjoyed the ambiance and atmosphere, plus I was able to have a lovely conversation. Come 10pm, here comes the clubbing crowd and on turns the INSANELY LOUD MUSIC!!! I can't even tell you how ear shattering this place was it was ridiculous. If you want to go to place where the bass almost blows your chest open, you cannot talk to your friends, or move at all... then go here. My ears were plugged and ringing for 2 days straight after leaving this place and I cringe at the name when I hear it now. Probably will never go there again after happy hour.

OVER RATED! *clap, clap, clap, clap, clap* OVER RATED *clap, clap, clap, clap, clap* shit portions are high prices and nothing is good enough to write home about. The music makes me want to VOM, and well... Yeah. Dont think I walked into a Starr Restaurant thinking I was going to get a good deal. I knew I wasn't. I just didnt realize it was going to be so... so.... bleagh... I was expecting to be impressed. And I wasn't so. There ya go.

Bowling is fun and doing it here at Bowlmor is a great, so as long as you don't have to pay for it. It is Manhattan afterall, but bowling here can really add up especially if you consider eating food and drinking while bowling. To really enjoy the benefits of Bowlmor's awesome location, spacious lanes, fun lanes, and decent bowling balls, I would suggest coming in during Monday nights where its all you can bowl for a little less than $25. The service here hasn't always been the best. Most the folks behind the counter seemed very grumpy while the waitresses were slightly apathetic but were a little friendlier probably because they depend on tips. Its a good mix of folks here, ranging from NYU students to families with little children, I am always slightly surprised coming here that it can fit so many people and still have so many lanes. If you must bowl in Manhattan and can afford the pricey games, then Bowlmor is not a bad way to spend a nice weekend afternoon or cosmic night of strikes and high fives.
