No cover and the dress code isn't that strict. The line was hella short. I went on a saturday night and was in the mood for a long island...went to the bar..and was told they don't make those there. It was ok...I settled for a vodka and pineapple. I didn't visit the dance floor on top, but the one on the bottom had great music and the overall vibe of the place was lots of fun. The dance floor was sort of small, but when your tipsy and having a good time...that detail doesn't really bother you. When we left the place i couldn't believe how hot it had been in there. Ahh....it was like you stepped out of a sauna. I would love to go back and drink some champange and have their strawberries with chocolate fondue...and to dance.

ahhh... my go-go dancing days!! I did a few gigs over here so you can already guess that I'm going to review this spot as a club not a restaurant. It's a nice setting. Being next to the water helps after you've been dancing for hours on end and need some place to just breathe. The view is great for all the people who meet someone and want to stare at the ocean and talk about what to do next. I loved dancing here because of the patio area/windows next to the dance floor on the upper level. whenever the room got hot I would open the window next to my gogo block and hoorahhh I'm not dripping anymore!! gotta look cute right?! hahaha! geez, im so old now... i'm happy that i have a party life i can reflect on though lol. There's a lower level dance floor that's pretty much a small room. For 18+ parties the under 21 crowd usually hangs down there. Because of the patio/waterfront area there's still a lot of opportunity to mix it up with the older crowd since most people like to do their gaming outside anyway :). Parking is on the street. I've never had my car broken into here and I've never felt unsafe in this area. There are usually cops roaming the streets over here since it's in a somewhat open area. No worries about getting haggled for money. I actually had a cop escort me and my friends back to my car as extra precaution and I didn't even have to ask! They're really nice over there!

Bowling is fun and doing it here at Bowlmor is a great, so as long as you don't have to pay for it. It is Manhattan afterall, but bowling here can really add up especially if you consider eating food and drinking while bowling. To really enjoy the benefits of Bowlmor's awesome location, spacious lanes, fun lanes, and decent bowling balls, I would suggest coming in during Monday nights where its all you can bowl for a little less than $25. The service here hasn't always been the best. Most the folks behind the counter seemed very grumpy while the waitresses were slightly apathetic but were a little friendlier probably because they depend on tips. Its a good mix of folks here, ranging from NYU students to families with little children, I am always slightly surprised coming here that it can fit so many people and still have so many lanes. If you must bowl in Manhattan and can afford the pricey games, then Bowlmor is not a bad way to spend a nice weekend afternoon or cosmic night of strikes and high fives.
