by Leon Leitch on THE SERVICE: extremely amateur, entitled and dismissive. I actually have never been treated so poorly in a restaurant in my life...by several servers, the owner, and a few staff members who didn't seem to do much else besides be rude. THE FOOD: once good, now less than mediocre...over cooked and over priced. I've tried and tried again to see if they could get it together, but the portions are shrinking and excuses (due to the said "limitations" of perveying local) embarrassingly growing. Guys...many many restaurants in this town buy local and supercede your sad efforts. If your redeeming quality is that you're tragically hip, I'm sorry...you've chosen the wrong place for your shingle, which won't be hung for long. by Clay Kresge on recently went there on a friday night and have to say it was OK the bf and i love to go to clubs and just DANCE, not sit around or lounge around like many OLDER sketchy men were doing, so this was definitely the place! The crowd is pretty mixed, there are a lot of younger women there, as well as a plethora of OLD MEN looking for a dance partner :S I wish I could give this place 3 1/2 stars as it was fairly spacious, had PLENTY of bars (the wait for drinks was not long) and had different spaces suited for different tastes of music Negatives: salsa/latin room was VERY small & stinky by the end of the night, the hip hop "basement" made me claustrophobic, and the amount of older men/ women creeped me out, other than that, if your going to dance and dont mind bumping into a couple of weirdos this is the spot!
by Suzanne D. on THE ONLY REASON I CROSS THE BRIDGE TO SF!!! I LOVE this place. Its such a charming little oasis in the midst of all of the "chic" cold pretentious SF clubs. Tamarind and Whiskey? hell YEAH!
