by Ted L. on Nice atmosphere. I'm a sucker for views and this one is amazing. They didn't have Peronis when I went though, and their other beers suck (Corona, Amstel, Heineken Light, Sierra Nevada?) Amstel Light was the only thing they had on tap? Weird. The bottles were $5. Also the location is kind of out of the way for me, not near express train stops and a decent walk from the (local) C/E stop at 23rd, across not pedestrian hospitible roars of traffic on 10th Ave and the West Side Highway. Also it closed early on a Sunday night. Will have to come back next summer on a weekend or some other event night.
by Frances Carvallo on people at my work LOVE JJ's. they get it all the time. however, i don't buy my lunch out, so i've only had JJ's when we've ordered it for work meetings. the rolls are sooooooo good. so fluffy, love that! their pickles are super huge and crunchy, and on Thursday i think they're only a nickle. personally, i dont like that they put mayo and an avocado/mayo mix on their veggie sandwiches and cheese, but you request not to have that crap on there. they've fucked up our orders a few times but have made up for it by giving us free platters, which was nice.
by Molly D. on This place is amazing! The atmosphere is very open with a bar in the center of the room and a huge beautiful fish tank when you walk in. At first we headed to the bar area for some Friday night cocktails. Most of the people at the bar were young professionals. We sat at the tables (rather than the booths) for dinner, which was phenomenal. The veggie burger was the best the best I've ever had and everyone else really enjoyed their meals as well. The sides were average but the spinach dip was delicious. At about 11:00 they move the tables in the section where we were sitting to make room for a dance floor, and then the fun really begins! For desert we went to the candy shop which is connected to the dinning room and they serve gelato which was, true to form, DELICIOUS! We went on a Friday night during happy hour and were able to be seated easily without a wait.
