by jen h. on I like Rosa Mexicano's atmosphere, decor, and i LOVE the bright pink. I think the food is generally good but way overpriced and not worth it. If you're going to charge that much for Mexican food, you better find a good way to justify it. Service was fine. Eating outside is nice. Pretty uneventful.
by Junita Burttram on Cool club and very spacious...lots of room inside and outside. The DJ was good, spinning a mix of hip-hop and dance. And the male bartenders are hot! What I don't get is having Crimson next door playing the same exact music at Opera. Does anyone know why that is? Why even have two separate spots? Or are they one place now?

We took the salsa class with Luis before the band started (we didn't know this but you have to pay $5 extra per person for the salsa class, it is not included in the cover). Anyway - the salsa class was worth it - we learned twists and turns, all in an hour. You do have to switch partners a lot which is great if you come alone and want to meet new people (note to single straight men - this place is an untapped resource, there are a lot of cool single girls here just out to have fun and dance). The dance floor gets packed with people and it is sometimes a little hard to carve out an area to get your salsa groove on. Only cons are the lines are pretty long for drinks and bathrooms and i does get really packed on Sunday afternoons.
