Dear Edison: Get over yourself and your fascist yuppie dress code. We went to meet up with a friend for her birthday celebration and my boyfriend was denied access for wearing his fancy sneakers, even though his sports jacket cost more than the doorman's entire cheap rayon suit. No exceptions. He was told to go to his car and change. Say what?! Next time we'll bring some $11.99 Payless loafers and maybe that will satisfy your "after 7 strict dress code." Not to mention telling someone that an option is to go back home and change their shoes (because we want to drive 10 miles home and come back) is the MOST RIDICULOUSLY PRETENTIOUS thing to ever tell a potential customer. I knew I didn't like this bar, now I have a very good reason to NEVER come back.

The brunch menu is amazing. There is a dance floor on the second floor that opens up at night. Though it is close in proximity to Chelsea... the dance floor isn't very gay. But, still a good time. Music was also great.

decent decor, but nothing spectacular. upper and lower levels to dance or hang out. the crowd is pretty rude and tacky. one night, one girl literally threw a drink at a guy at the bar. this drink splattered all over me and my fiancee. what kind of girl does that? tacky tacky. another night, my fiancee and i were at the bar and this guy shoved my fiancee right off the bar counter. my fiancee lost his balance. of course, the guy never turned around and apoloized. and there was no way he could have not noticed how he shoved my fiancee. the bar area wasn't even crowded. all i remember was that i could see all of the floor all around me... no one was really standing near us. another night, a girl was getting boisterous. she wasn't drunk or swaying or anything relating to alcohol influenced. but she thought is was a fantastic idea to take a step back with her wonderfully strong and narrow heel. i happened to be standing behind her. i didn't see her step back. she jammed her heel into my foot. i had a bruise on my outer foot bones for a month. couldn't really dance or walk correctly for a while. so... the bartenders and decor is fine but somehow the people that come to this place are so rude its hilarious. i used to go bar hopping and clubbing very often so i am aware of the difference between drunk people and rude people. heck, even drunk people or the drunk's friends say sorry numerous times when they accidentally bump into you. i have had drinks spilled on me from time to time, but usually its crowded and its inevitable. throwing a drink at someone? never seen that in person before. and of all the busy busy clubs that i've been to where my foot has been stepped on so many times, this situation takes the cake. i know that this club has no way of controlling or preventing these situations, but at least you get a feel of what type of crowd you're dealing with when you get there.
