I celebrated my 22nd birthday at Opera and all I got to say is I HOPE THE CLUB CLOSE DOWN The night began with my girlfriend, friends, and I waiting in line at 10:00 hoping to get a vip table in front of the dance floor. My girlfriend had to pop 3 bottles so that we can get the badass table we wanted but not knowing that it include 18% gratuity. So when we got seated, they brought us the bill right away acting like we wouldl run (Not like other clubs I been to) So with that said and done, we notice that the juice been drank. We told the hostess that we wanted to change it and she kept insisting on why. We had to pick up the juice bottle and put it in her face to let her know someone drank our juice before she agreed on changing it out for us. So the night is started trashy. As the night progress, it got better until I heard one of my friend is getting kicked out of the club. I quickly got up and asked security why is my friend getting kicked out and that's when one of the security grab me from the back and said "your getting kicked out too!" Me- "Why, it's my b-day. I'm not getting kicked out." Security-"We don't give a f*** its your b-day" So as the security grab me from the back and about to drag me out, he said to the other five security "he is trying to resist, lets jump him" That's when I got jump by 5 BIG SECURITIES. Luckily, I was able to block there hits but not there kicks. I ended up with a busted lip and finger prints on both my chest. So I got kicked out of the club on my b-day. I urge everyone to stop going to Opera so that they close down by the end of 2010

I went here tonight for "Ladies Night" which is Mondays. I've enjoyed happy hour here before, but today was sub-par. They advertise that all mixed drinks are half-off for ladies night, but I was only informed that this did not apply to long island iced teas after the drinks had been made-- I wouldn't have paid $9 each for a drink that I was expecting to be around $3 or $4, and the bartender should have specified that before making it. It has a decent atmosphere, but we weren't feeling it.

A Confession I thought I'd never been to Halo before. Before tonight (er, last night? Monday? Whenever . . . ), that is. I even said as much to the four of us still at Cypress, debating whether to send ourselves home like good little children or go next door for "just one drink." Uh, yeah. As soon as I walked in, I realized - "oh, wait!!" . . . "I HAVE been here!" . . . Hmm, guess I wasn't sober on my original visit . . . Loved the photo booth. Not sure how great our pics turned out (I thought I was having a good hair day, but . . . ). Really loved the Madonna ("Holiday," my most-favorite-ever Madge song was rocking) and old-school MJ playing. Not terrible at all to go with a regular like Kit F. who knows, um, everyone there. Super people-watching - even on a Monday!! Now that I've put two-and-two together (and gotten four!) I know I dig Halo. Maybe I'll even earn one, one day . . . we'll see!
