My clubbing experiences in So Cal has been limited to what I like to call "cougar den"s. A cougar den is a club full of 30 and 40-somethings looking for an excuse to flash their panties to the world for a night. Shudder, ugh. I expected no better than the usual with the Playhouse. I came in thinking I'd lower the age average by 10 years. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the good diverse crowd of people all colors and ages. With my drunken date in tow, we hit the packed dance floor. I was genuinely impressed by the skills of the DJ. The mashup's were amazing and the energy never faltered. This place does not close at 2! The party was still going strong when we left around 2:30. I can't say much about the drinks at this place since my date had enough alcohol during the pre-party for the both of us...perhaps enough for the entire weekend. I've heard that they're expensive which could explain why I didn't see many people sipping. The only con I can think of are the tacky wannabes there making it rain cocktail napkins on the dance floor. W...t....f....

Obscene amount of money for bowling. Outrageously priced pitchers -like $15 for Coors lite. WTF? Really? Although it's clean, pimped out, and has a VIP, gimme a dive joint where I may run into The Dude and Walter. I've given it 3 chances, but it really wasn't worth it.

Enter through parking lot?? Quoi? Say what? Gorgeous girls in jimmy choos and manolos having to walk 100 yards to get to the front door...no way for a cab to even get there or driver to drop them off? It was just strange.. and struck me and I remain miffed and slightly annoyed.
