I would totally give this place 4-5 stars for the ambiance, upscale decor, and spaciness. It honestly looks really nice and sophisticated and has great great great potential. BUT, my friends and I came here on a Thursday night and the only people in the entire bar was the bartender and 2 other people who looked like they worked there. So, we just used the restroom and left to go back to the other Busby's. I guess their main days are the weekends, but still.

Let me preface by saying I have only been to Ecco for drinks and appetizers. It is on my list of dinner places to try, and I will of course update after that. Ecco is a perfect place for me to meet people, my Dad especially, for drinks and appetizers. Parking is easy easy easy, which is a big deal to me when I'm meeting people that aren't necessarily city-dwellers. The wine list is great, and so are the few cocktails I've had. They don't have kettle one vodka, which is a bummer, but not a deal breaker. I've always had excellent service; waiters that can make excellent wine recommendations are high on my list. I've had some of the appetizers, but really love the meats & cheeses. It's a great place to chill, and I look forward to trying it for dinner.

This place tries so hard to be all things, to all people, all the time. It attempts to fool us all into thinking it's an awesome sports bar, dance club, restaurant, lounge, game room AND local hangout! Yeah. Remember what Abraham Lincoln said about trying to fool all of the people, all of the time? If I remember correctly, I think he said "Don't try it, or you will end up in a hellhole on Wilshire, surrounded by douches, wandering through a series of cavernous, poorly-designed rooms filled with the stench of Axe body spray and desperation. Oh, and you'll pay a cover." Words to live by.
