Opera Nightclub... Wow I could literally write a novel about this place - with very few positive things to say. When this place started out it was pretty cool but, now its horrible and needs to change something immediately. I have come to this venue since I was using a fake ID years ago and let me say, Atlanta's only true large nightclub has really lost its touch. Staff: There are a few cool people who work there but, the staff has evolved into what I believe to be a tightly nit group of buddies who think they are so damn cool because they work at Opera haha (LIke seriously guys, you work at a nightclub...a nightclub). Nothing wrong with befriending co-workers but, the vibe that they portray is snobby and uninviting. Some serious restructuring and lessons on customer service are needed asap. Atmosphere: The club layout and decor I must admit is very cool and I really like how it has been updated. Crowd: The people who you will find at Opera is really, mmm how can we say, ah "international"? Nothing wrong with that but, when you get looked down upon for being a white american guy for no justifiable reason, you can understand why all of the North Atlanta population would never come here. My conclusion: I will try to avoid this place at all costs personally. The only way I might be caught there would be to see a DJ they have visiting but, even then its so damn expensive you know your gonna be regretting it the next day (I failed to mention OPERA is EXTREMELY OVERPRICED!!). Count me out and see you at a more classy venue.

I came here on a Thursday night with some friends, and it was pretty busy. So busy, in fact, that the one lone girl behind the counter kept apologizing for keeping me waiting as she was pulled in a million different directions. I said, "Don't apologize; you're only one person!" I was not in a rush-- to begin with, this is not the type of place to go if you're in a hurry. In the middle of giving my order, some dude comes up to the counter, interrupts me, and proceeds to bitch about his drink... he ordered "a latte" and had sand in his vag because he got a TEA latte instead of a COFFEE latte. *headdesk* Maybe you should be more specific next time. This is a TEA house, Douchey McBaggins. I ordered a pomegranate-mango green tea with boba-- if you are a bubble tea fan, you will LOVE it here. I was very impressed by the frothy, creamy texture of the drink, since sometimes bubble teas come out icy or slushy. This was one of the best things I have put in my mouth lately. (That's what she said.) I also got a roast beef and cheese panini, and was thoroughly impressed. This is a great little spot, filled with comfortable couches and tables. Free wi-fi is a bonus too!

I celebrated my birthday here this past Saturday and had an amazing time!! Drunken time with good friends, good music, good service, and good venue = 5 stars :) Um Negative reviews? - don't be fooled by these complaints about strict security. Yes, security was strict, but for good reason for a club that fills up fast. But once you get in, you're greeted by spacious dance floors and lounge areas. -which can be rare to find in Hollywood. The 5 stars goes to the AMAZING SERVICE from Loriann, who is the sweetest promoter ever and MADE SURE me and my 50+ friends were all able to get in and have a great time. The venue is great for large parties, which I was so stressed out in finding a good location that could fit so many of my friends without the hassle of waiting in line for hours and forced to pay cover. My friends are all heavy drinkers, so we got bottle service and it was very worth it; we got 3 bottles of vodka which was literally gone in 60 seconds but the bottle service staff was very attentive. Our table was an outdoor cabana, huge space that could seat at least 15 people. Music was great, it's nice that our cabana was situated closely to the outside DJ and dance floor which played a mix of house and popular mash ups. Valet was only $10 I believe, which is much better than paying $20 in Hollywood. Also, across from Minx is In n Out, so late night munchies? It's all there!
