This is a great bar in Midtown amongst the clubs and lounges that dominate the neighborhood. And, as a bonus, the food is really pretty good. I had the buffalo chips yesterday which were quite tasty and an interesting concept. Some nights they have live music upstairs and a fun dance party usually ensues. The people working here are always very nice and accommodating. I usually head here before-and after- kickball with a large group and they have been really good about letting us put together tables, splitting checks, etc. This place is SO much better than Deadwood: they have better deals on pitchers waiters aren't jerks, the food is good, and they don't try to pass off Genesee as Bud Light.

Trudy's has gone downhill with their food quality it seems. You get big portions of food that tastes ok. Many variations on the menu of the same basic foods. Trudy's is an average tex-mex joint that happens to be local. Update: I have a friend who was working at Trudys about 6 months ago and he confirmed my suspicions - they have been lowering the quality of the food. I'm sure long time Trudy's patrons have already realized this though.

I had been here several times before but never for a concert. When I found out She Wants Revenge was playing at Webster Hall I knew I had to go! Not only was it an awesome show but the venue itself made for a more intimate setting. Even if you weren't standing right in front of the stage, you still had a good view of the band. The drinks are a little on the smaller side but I wouldn't mind this so much if they were served in actual glassware vs. plastic cups the way they do at Highline Ballroom but I'm not surprised. I'm hoping more of my favorite bands play here soon. :)
