I will never set foot in this dump again. Yes, it has a "beautiful decor" but it doesn't mask the fact that the mediocre-tasting Americanized Chinese food is overpriced. The guys at the bars are incredibly rude and have made false accusations. When caught in their lie, instead of apologizing, they attack you for being "too drunk," the best way they know how to cover up their mistakes. This is unacceptable behavior and i do not condone it. Again, thankfully their food is gross because I have no qualms about staying clear of this place. I'd rather get real chinese food in Chinatown anyway at an affordable price.

Came here on a Friday for a Girl's Night Out and had a memorably awesome night! We arrived at 12:30AM when the mob had died down. After getting past bouncer #1 with the mention of some promotor's name, we were on the lawn trying to charm bouncer #2. 4 girls, skantily dressed, on the guest list, no line, why wouldn't they let us in? But they have to make it difficult right? After waiting on the lawn for about 3-4 minutes, the bouncer comes up to do the uncomfortable "look you up and down with judging eyes" stare. Then he says, "I'll let you in if you line up correctly youngest to oldest without looking at your IDs," um... okay. WHO DOES THAT??? we did (somehow) and he let us in finally. Mystery remains on if he would have let us in if we got it wrong... First thing we did was explore the place. I really liked the concept of this club.. If you turn to the right you are in the Kitchen, which doubles as a bar and serves chocolate chip cookies from time to time. To the left is the Living Room, aka VIP section with home-y decor. Toward the back were stairs that lead to the Master Bedroom: unfortunately the section was closed for the night, but rumor has it that there is a fur bed and a jacuzzi up there. The section in the middle was a typical dance floor. The DJ was amazing --- not that i NEED alcohol to have a good time, but let's just say it was a ridiculously fun night for being pretty much sober. the DJ was great - second best after Tenjune in Meatpacking, NY - mixing top 40s, hiphop, house and 80s. Not sure how often they rotate DJs, but he definitely made the night. Don't know if this place has A-list celebs, but I can attest to it having a lower letter- list celebrity presense. Ya Boy or Dr. Hollywood were partying there and they did a quick performance to their song before continuing their partying. We Run LA...

Came here Saturday night with some friends I haven't seen in a bit. People do like coming here, and I think it's because it's Stephen Starr. The decor is nice and pleasing to the eye, the lighting is somewhat dark, good for ambiance. The crowd is upscale chic, with a nice dearth of "frat" people (even with the close proximity of Drinkers!). The music is quite low, so you can easily hear conversation. We were in the roofdeck, and if you've been once, you've been a thousand times. The type of crowd that comes in is not eclectic. You will find good looking people dressed well. The crowd is not diverse - that's usually a bad thing for me, but the crowd here is much more blase - they were much more into their own conversations than interested in the differences of the types of people. That's refreshing. I only notice the diversity if I feel out of place - this place doesn't make you feel that way (unless you're in sweats or dressed inappropriately). All in all, I wouldn't complain coming here, and I might even be slightly excited, but it wouldn't be my first suggestion when going out.
