by Aboud Y. on Pretty nice spot with a great lounge-y atmosphere. The food is pretty decent; nothing extraordinary but a step up from most bars/lounges. I like their menu which is an odd mixture of Asian/American/Latin tapas and entrees. I tried their tuna tartare (outstanding!), Thai lettuce wraps (ok), lamb flatbread (tasty but reminded me of frozen pizza), and garlic shrimp (sad to report that these weren't very good). But the headline here is the cool atmosphere, funky decor, and fun seating arrangements (I love the pits style conversation tables and the swing-chairs). Bar was lively and they had a good cocktail menu to boot. I'd definitely return when I'm back in this area.
by Joey S. on Dieselboy. This was one of the few venues in SF that I've actually had fun at. It wasn't too crowded and the system was built to handle one of the best in drum and bass. The fact that its in an industrial area makes it easy to find parking. The women's restrooms were clean, and I liked that there were still toilet seat covers at the end of the night. There is a smoking patio out front and there is usually a DJ spinning out there.. or was there? I can't really remember :-) I just remember seeing a standing speaker with music blaring out of it. The only reason I give this place 4 instead of 5 is 'cause they only accept cash at the bar. Boo-hoo.
by Mari A. on Gold boots, lost/found red leather jackets, homeless boyrfriends, the beautiful table and fantastic eyebrows sum up my wonderful first experience at Koko Cocktails! Bartender is a very cool chill dude with a great smile. The bar carries Hanger One vodka (HURRAH!) BUT unfortunately, they carry every flavor except my love, keifer lime. Still, good variety of alcohol and very good prices. Crowd is a great mix and I'll definitely be back again! Minus one star for being a cash only establishment.
by Greg Balo on The 222 is a great little bar. The owners are really cool. The back room is nice and dark and is great for a cozy date atmosphere. The pizza is yummy too. I'm a whiskey drinker and now they have a full bar! Wonderful!
