This iconic dive never claimed to be the best or have the sexiest dancers, but the entertainment (enjoyment and smile factor) is paramount over most places. Whether you want to get smothered by Porsha or watch Blondie crush cans, this place is entertaining for all!
by Orville Lebo on Echoing what others have said, Tavern on Broad is a decent place for a work outing because of the seating, but the limited macobrew draft selection and mediocre food don't make it a place that I'd go back to. I had a turkey burger with a cranberry chutney--sounds good. The bun and fries were both good, but the turkey burger looked like your standard frozen burger with no seasoning. Gross. The staff was friendly but took awhile to serve me, even though I was only one of a few people in the restaurant.
by Samantha M. on Never have been disappointed by Vertigo. Always take my friends there when hanging out late on Polk Street. No cover to enter, even though they are quite nazis about checking ids.. but once you enter, you not only have access to a great bar, but they have another room in the back with a dj and a dance floor! So you can dance your hearts content in a club like setting and do not have to pay for it! You can't get any better than that if you want to go somewhere fun, with great music, and want to dance. DJs often do top 40 hits on Fridays, but they also throw in some late 90s hip hop that really really makes it fun for me!
