Alright here is the deal with Carmen's. Apparently, her motto is that she "puts the cunt back in country". And that she does. I have called for reservations and been laughed at and hung up on. I finally did get in one day, even though my boyfriend practically had to force me. I really did not want to give them any business because of how i had been treated in the past, but my boyfriend made me, and he is much more forgiving. There was a wait, and two really obnoxious women from the suburbs (one of which who was wearing a yankees hat, one week after we lost. Really? You want to get your ass kicked?) but the staff made it clear to these pushy ladies that they were not going to get ahead of us or anyone else on the list, no matter what they said. I was really impressed with that. That same staff member also waited on us, and he got a nice tip for being so fair. Carmen is a bitch because she makes good food. She plays hard ball and i have to say, the food was really, really good. I have to give her credit for that. And she makes it all herself, by herself. Carmen's gets 4 stars because they deserve 4 stars. The staff is good, and the food is ridiculously good. Yeah, i do wish Carmen would have treated those obnoxious ladies with the same lack of respect she showed me when i called for a reservation, but she didn't. So, she earned 4 stars from me.

Went here on Saturday for this event. Due to the fact it was for the event I thought it was rather small. Jillian's is a great place to hang out with some friends, mingle, shoot some pool and have a good time. They have a full bar, about 6 pool tables, and a lot of seating. I didn't get a chance to try the food but as I passed many seats, seems like the garlic fries was a hit. As soon as you walk in you can actually smell it. I wasn't in the mood to be smelling like garlic for the entire night so I opted pass on the garlic fries. Seems like an ok place for this being my first time going to the SF one. I've been to other Jillan's and this on just seems to be mediocre :)
