Fairly typical set up that is a fairly small to medium size place. Layout is pretty poor, with it being uncomfortable to move around the club with it's even a little crowded. The main room has a stage area, and the small dance floor is over to one side of the bar. There are box windows with dancing girls that are mostly undressed. A friend mentioned that she was there again this week for a networking event, and there was some pretty crazy girl on girl action that included "toys." Well, what I mean is dildos. Yep, that's what she said. Still pretty freaked out by the whole thing, she didn't stop talking about it for a while, said it didn't fit into what the event was about. I guess the place is living up to it's name. I wouldn't want to return due to the venue space. Lucked out with street parking right on the boulevard.

Touche Zahav, touche. Ok, full disclosure - I went to Zahav during restaurant week for one, simple, plain reason. I was sure, positive even, that Israeli/middle eastern influenced tapas could not be all that great. Frankly, I wasn't willing to pay full-tilt for mediocre fare. Plus, the reviews did little to peak my interest. Try the hummus? I like hummus as much as the next guy, but really? Could hummus top a delicious steak? Not possible. I'm sorry Zahav. I judged you and I was wrong. This place is excellent. The hummus is really good, probably the best I versions of the mushy-goodness that I have ever had. However, while I think its totally worth trying, the rest of the food blew it out of the water. Skip it and save room for another small plate or two. The flavor profile is superb and stretches vastly beyond the cumin, lemon, and parsley that I normally equate with middle-eastern fare. Its outstanding. Be adventurous and let the server pick for you, there are some gems on the menu that are well out of left field. The both my date and I agreed, the duck hearts might have been the best item we ate. Trust me thats saying a lot, given the extent of the delectability we experienced throughout our gastronomic journey. I can't wait to swallow my pride and proudly pay non-restaurant week prices for and excellent meal. This one gets a mighty tip of the hat and the Mike b blessing for a solid date night excursion. Oh, and if you are a whiskey drinker (as I am) get the pepper infused whiskey cocktail. Its a great start to a fine meal.

This is a fantastic spot! I suggest checking out the theme of the day because the crowds that gather there are definitely eclectic depending on what's happening. It can go from feeling like a queer bar one saturday to being a straight salsa crowd the next...regardless I've never had a bad time there.
