Club Mayan is FUNNN! Came here with my best friend for her cousin's birthday and a night of salsa dancing! We definitely got more than just salsa though! Music here is GREAT! WHY?! Because you can get pretty much everything that's awesome to dance to! When you walk in, the main floor is all salsa with a live band and everything! You have all the pro salsa dancers up front, and then everyone else dancing all around. It's definitely a fun place to dance, and even watch! There are some awesome dancers there! Go down one floor to the basement and you have all hip hop! Go up one and you have Spanish rock/electro. You can get everything here! Only complaint I have is drinks are expensive.. at least from what I remember. But they are also strong, which make it worth it I guess. haha. I would definitely go back to Club Mayan again! :)

Wow. Not sure what to say about this place. However, the experience was compelling enough for me to write this review. First, off the AC broke in this joint. Hot stank ass booty sweat in the air. Negative. I can get that at the LA Fitness sauna. The music was The highlight of the evening as I am a product of 90's hip hop. Always refreshing to hear bands like Native Tongue, Pharcyde and the like playing. The DJ gets props. As far as the crowd goes, if you're into low class, borderline ghetto-ness this place is definitely for you. You're apparently allowed to rock jerseys, baggy-ass jeans and do-rags. Guess I'm too old for this and my compadres who rolled with me felt the same. This place was definitely beneath us and we wont be returning. 1 star for the DJ. Nuff said.

Wowzas! Go here on a Saturday night if you wanna get hot, sweat, and bump booties with passionately salsa-ing people late into the night. The ladies are dressed up, and the mens are lookin' to roll with them. There's a bar, there are men asking you to dance after dance after dance, and there's a patio in the back so you can cool off (and take a break from all the asking men). Lessons around 8, and there's a cover charge. I had a lot of fun there, but I think it depends on how much you're willing to let loose, and who you end up dancing with. There has to be a connection, you know what I mean, Salsa Queen?
