by Bryon Insley on What a gem! Great, great brunch. Our waitress was very nice and despite being packed on a Valentine's Day weekend around 11:30am, we were seated within 15 minutes. I ordered the french toast and my girlfriend eggs benedict. TALK ABOUT PORTIONS! They were super delicious and I really appreciate the very fresh fruit and well-seasoned potatoes that accompanied the cinnamon-drenched french toast. I really did have a great meal there and the prices were extremely reasonable considering the amount of food you get. I'd say $30 will be enough for two (including the tip!). If you're looking for a great brunch outside of the main limits of Center City and other trendy neighborhoods in Philly, take the #23 bus or subway up to Spring Garden and go to Cafe Lift. Believe me, it is good stuff.
by Feng E. on My first night out clubbing in LA finally!!! I went with a group of friends (two other girls and their husbands and a friend of theirs - definitely not a setup though!). The cover fee was $20/person. Inside they offer free tacos but you have to act fast since they run out quickly~ The music was good for dancing and the crowd was ok. Only one sleazy guy tried to put his hand on my friend's waist from time to time and one guy grabbed my arm lightly and he let go pretty fast. I haven't gone to a lot of places yet so I assume this wasn't too bad?? A reservation is very important. We managed to get in without one this time but we shouldn't always depend on luck (or my friends' good looks!).

I'll confess that it's a sin to combine two wondrous things: chocolate & flan. -the attentive, on point service from Edgar and the fun latin beats accompanying the meal Overall, 4 stars and I'll be back for more salsa-y good times. (disclaimer: my mood may have been swayed due to it being a celebratory birthday dinner for me but nonetheless, my lovely dinner companion and Glorias together did put on a wonderful dinner.)
