by Brandon S. on Went here with a group of friends who just graduated from Nursing School. We were hitting up Westgate and decided to go to McFaddens for more drinks. First of all, the place was dead and we were a group of 10 people looking to spend some money. After the bouncer checked our ID's we went to the bar, I pulled out a stool to sit on and the bartender motioned to the bouncer that she could not serve one of the members of our party. I understand that in Arizona bartenders and restaurants have to protect themselves from over serving people. The only problem is that no one was over served to begin with! If being the first person to sit down in a group signals that you are too drunk, then do not sit down at McFaddens. The bouncer expected the one member of the group to leave! Obviously that is not going to happen without the rest of the party, so we ALL left. The bouncer literally on our tails. I think that it is funny that when he checked our ID's the first time HE didn't think anyone was wasted. One girl was in the bathroom and missed the whole thing, we were standing right by the entrance waiting for her and the bouncer still didn't get it! He actually called Westgate security on us! Haha. This place is a joke, everybody says its pathetic and I never had been, so I thought I would give it a shot. We had so much fun at Westgate, celebrating finishing Nursing School. We went to YardHouse, Shout House, and Saddle Ranch. We spent some money on a Monday night and those places appreciated our business. That bartender missed out on some money, and McFaddens missed out on any repeat business from any of us. STAY AWAY!
by Lashon Lama on I don't know why I like this place so much, but I really do dig it. Its NOT packed full of young guns, tourist, or "my people" there. Can't stand being surrounded by giddy Asian packs. It gets on my nerves. I say if you hang out, mix it up. Stop sticking with your own kind. That's all I'm saying, but they always have the best parties. They have themes to dress up to and the music has never been bad there. And for some reason, my luck with the dudes are more frequent here than any place. I don't go home with them, but its fun to meet people here to dance with. Its all about having a good time, and hanging out. Oh, and parking is never a issue. . . can you believe that. In the F-ing city, you can find parking. I say that's a miracle, so hope to see you there.
