No cover on a Saturday night in the city?! +1 upstairs is an upscale lounge with elegant decor. easy on the eyes, the bar has speedy service because its usually not too crowded. littered with plush looking chairs and dimly-lit table areas, the upstairs lounge provides a suuuper relaxing atmosphere. downstairs is a smaller dance floor with terrible ventilation. it looks and feels like a brick pizza-oven! the honeys weren't too happening and it was a super sausage fest.. feel terrible for the ladies, all the dudes looked like a shorter version of harold from harold and kumar. was too faded to remember the DJ but there was a BACON WRAPPED HOT DOG vendor right outside.. +1! pulled a few cuties numbers while grubbing on some pork-wrapped hot-dogs.. definitely +1!

We have a monthly "Drinks for a Cause" event at different venues throughout San Francisco. A couple months ago, the venue was Atmosphere, a place I had never visited. Being located in North Beach, I knew I'd have parking problems, but for a whopping $25, I was able to park across the street in the lot. (If you saw my heels that night, you'd see how spending $25 was a simple decision.) Hundreds of my friends were present on this night, which automatically makes for a fun evening. Factor in an early evening from hell, I came ready to drink. Well, the great music, the stiff drinks, the cool venue, and great friends made for an awesome night. Bartenders were friendly, and the wait was never that long, even with a packed house. The bouncers were friendly, and even the rain didn't dampen our spirits. While I have not been here on a regular weekend evening and don't know what the normal clientele would be - I can only say that one this evening, Atmosphere was the ideal location for this event. Did I have fun? You bet. Can I recall how much fun? Not really....but I'm pretty sure it was a lot of fun. Let's just put it this way. It was one of those rare nights where even I agreed - yep, I should be driven home, thereby being the recipient of a "drive Grace home" caravan. Good times!
