Before this evening's experience, I would have rated rock box 5 stars. I went with a group of 10 @730 -9pm (the only time available) and we were told that the reservation after us canceled and we could have the room until 1AM. That was cool and awesome, so I invited several other friends to drop by since we'd be there for a while. THEN our server came in around 9 and said they messed up and double booked a different room, so had to give one of the groups our room and we had to LEAVE in 10min. No compensation offered. A bummer ending to a promising night. Definitely made a formal complaint. Also worth mentioning that several of our party only arrived for 30min of karoake and were charged the full hour; when complained, rock box very reluctantly refunded their money.

Came here for the first time to watch Ferry Corsten's set (he was amazing!). The venue was fairly big (two stories). Bars both upstairs and downstairs. Getting through the line wasn't bad (got there around 11:30 pm). My only gripe is how intense the bass is. You literally feel it pulsating through your body. I've been to my share of electro events and have been up close to the speakers, but the bass has never been that bad as compared to here. Overall I'd come back to watch another DJ play.

The best thing about Martunis is the name. Great room, good bartenders, good drinks, great piano lounge. On to my point.... I would like to suggest that the modern fad of flavored martinis never be referred to as a martini again but instead a MARTUNI!!!. Raspberry Lemon Martinis, Chocolate Martinis, Pepper Cucumber Martinis, the list goes on. These are NOT martinis, they may be delicious cocktails, and they most certainly look pretty( everything looks pretty in a cocktail glass). A Martini is Gin or Vodka with a certain amount of Vermouth. NO Vermouth means it is NOT a martini, it is simply chilled gin or vodka served up. I know everyone likes to be fancy and look sophisticated ordering a martini, but time has come to call out these bourgeois cocktails and rename them MARTUNIS. In exchange as thus: Thirsty patron :"Barman, I would very much like a Vanilla Watermelon Martini please." Barman:" You mean a Vanilla Watermelon MARTUNI" Thirsty Patron:" Ah yes, of course, my mistake, a MARTUNI please."
