by Timmy Biastock on Came here for a friend's bday party, and I really enjoyed it! Despite the short time I was there. Loved the circular bar area, with seating all around, and best of all: UPSTAIRS! The VIP area was awesome, with couches, a mini bar, champagne, and can accommodate more than 2 different parties. I came a little early to get my stamp for re-entry, but the first 150 or so girls got free champagne. Score! The place was pretty DEAD though, past 11. It was not until 1145ish when it was popping. I liked how the place wasn't not overpacked. There was enough room to have a bit of space to actually dance (and not mush and grind against strangers) but it was kind of small. But the DJ was playing great tunes too. The bathroom was surprisingly pretty clean. To wash your hands you share with the men outside. Drinks were decent. My AMF had the right amount of alcohol and started feeling it an hour later. Prices were average ($8ish). The VIP bar was limited, so mostly...shots, shots, shots! I like how they have lots of seating available, and a cool, huge curtain/beaded screen which projected pictures from previous club events.
by Hani H. on The bouncers and staff are SO rude. I guess that's the recurring theme in SF nightlife (Castro withstanding). The place is oooohkay. Definitely seen better days. DJ was good when I went, really crowded. Usual mix of weirdos. Meh.
by Beau Coffee on i'm not one for Dress Codes (bc it just means you're pretentious and can't make up for it by just having a good venue as it is), but when there is one i might be able to justify it.. a little. So last sat night, a bouncer said to me and my friend, "no sneakers." then, the bouncer manager came and said, "sneakers are ok actually, BUT only if it's just ONE COLOR, can't have multiple colors." WTF??!! what the hell is the difference? even if you explained it to me, what does it matter... when the freaking place is small, dark, and crowded no one is going to even see your shoes. if anything, they'll see the clothes you're wearing. on that note, here's a message to all clubs with dress/shoe codes: A dude could be wearing shitty black dress shoes.. but did you see his top? it's collared yes, but with embroidery and stupid labels. :) and NOTE TO TRIPLE THREAT DJ's... you guys threw the party, so why don't you stay true to your steez and make sure the venue you get caters to your real heads.
