We went here with a group at 10:55 and it was free until 11. Unlike other nightclubs around that make you wait and pay with a line and no one inside, there was quite a bit of people here for an early Saturday night. So - good point #1 no entrance fee = 1 free drink in my opinion. #2 the DJ was off the chain all night. #3 Great wait staff and bartenders. This is a different club other then the LA or NYC vibe, and it was a pretty awesome place. Just go, you'll have fun.

The first time I set foot in this place, it was the second Red Sox postseason game against the Angels. The big screen TVs made Phoenix Landing appealing for such an occasion. However, around 7th inning, we were told to get up, while the waiters stripped cushions (the cushions!) off of benches to convert the place into a dance floor! Goodbye chairs, tables, and CUSHIONS! We were forced to the little TV near the front entrance as our view of the big screen had at this point been blocked by the DJ's spin table and trashy-looking girls thrashing about while trying to get the attention of boys, who were still glued to the game. We promptly left in search for a more Red Sox-friendly environment. The second time I went there, yes I went back, was when a friend was in town. Unfortunately, it was a Friday night, and apparently 80s night...Oy! All I can say is we stayed for about 30 minutes, annoyed by obnoxious people all around us, got bored drinking $4.50 Heinekens and left for People's Republik despite of the pouring rain. Never again!

We found ourselves at Amalia by chance when our original anniversary dinner plans unexpectedly fell through. We were extremely impressed with everything about this evening from the service, the ambiance--modern, yet romantic-- the food, and the specialty cocktails and infused vodkas. The apps were tasty and inventive. I strayed from my usual fare and ordered the Warm Duck Confit Wrapped Dates which provided a succulent sweet/savory contrast. I was lucky enough to get the last Whole Roasted Mediterranean Sea Bass .... ohhhhhh soooooo gooooood!! I highly recommend this. We were a bit unimpressed with the Chorizo Stuffed Chicken. For the price, the serving was very small, a bit dry and completely disappointing next to the Bass. The deserts and the infused vodkas were a nice way to top off the evening. The server was knowledgeable and was able to answer every question we had about the menu without having to "check with the chef." It was a very pleasant dining experience all the way around.
