So I wake up this morning still pissed off about the events that occurred last night at Playhouse. When I walked in the door, I was initially impressed. It was crowded but not overly packed. The venue was nice with white, vinyl-padded walls and high ceilings and the air wasn't stuffy or stinky. They were playing one of my favorite songs by Usher. My friend was able to get me a drink from the bar pretty quickly and it was super strong. I couldn't even taste any redbull, all vodka and I was trying to choke it down. We went to the small room upstairs. There wasn't a lot of people up there. People were just sitting around, chillin'. Music was house up there, so we quickly turned around and went back down. There was a bomb-ass go go dancer in the center of the middle bar. She put all other go-go's to shame. She could dance her booty off. Anyway, we made our way to the center of the dance floor and it just went all downhill from there. WTF makes guys think they're allowed to just grab women?! Very not cool and I was throwing elbows all over the place. I was shoving dudes off. My friend said she saw a lot of people dropping and pill popping and that's probably why people were so grabby. There were even chicks in here that were groping. I was beyond pissed off. I was two heartbeats from getting into a fist fight last night. I even broke my cell phone in a scuffle to get this dude off me. The good music only lasted so long and then a lot of house was played for the rest of the night. Chicks are rude as hell here. Just pushing and bumping into you with no apologies. People kept trying to "make it rain" with napkins. So retarded and ghetto. The floors were sticky and wet with spilled drinks. I guess you could say it's not Playhouse's fault for having such rude, wack people there. I'd only go here again if I was rolling with my guy friends and/or had a table so I won't have to jeopardize getting man-handled again.

Horrible. I went for a Frat event after they'd just opened with some friends. The only reason I went. We were ALL SICK the next day. I drink high end to avoid the hangovers and sickness, they were mixing expensive and cheap liquor. Had to have been. HAD TO! They have sofas surrounding the dance floor with little velvet ropes sectioning off the little love seats. This is a paid feature. Who pays for that? They have "sky" boxes as a VIP so you can see the big empty dance floor. Like weed? Go here, everyone was smoking the night we were there, EWW my hair smelled horrible when I'd left. I felt dirty. I have never been back.

Yup, been wanting to try Mamajuana Cafe for quite a while. Got together here with my current and one of my ex-beaus. It was lots of fun, nice atmosphere and good food. I found it a bit pricey, but I'm kinda poor. It would be great for a special occasion. The rateclubser-recommended sampler platter was superb, and the paella, though not a very big portion, was chock full of seafoody goodness interspersed with a few chorizo chunks for some savory.
