by Dorothy N. on Went here for the Wonderfull event (Stevie Wonder tribute). Music was alright. Decent bathrooms. Plenty of stalls and relatively clean. A lot cleaner and nicer than many other clubs I've been to. Adequate sized venue, but not many places to sit if you don't have bottle service. Surprisingly, there's a mini "food court" in the hallway near the smoking area. There were tacos, hot dogs, and egg rolls. Crazy!!! Didn't try any, but I love that they have the option!
by Bre B. on I stayed here on my 21st birthday. I read a lot of different reviews for different hotels around Hollywood, looking for the best place for my friends to party. Some place that we could easily come in and out of and a place where we wouldn't get noise complaints. The Roosevelt was definitely a good choice. I got a junior king suite and was pleasantly surprised to find it was at the end of a hallway on the corner of the building. The suite was bigger and nicer than I was expecting it to be. And it had two bathrooms! I had over 20 people in my room and the closest thing we got to a noise complaint was a room service man who heard us in the hallway and suggested we keep it down. The only real problem was that you need a hotel key to get up the elevators, so if someone ever left, we had to make sure they had a room key. The bar downstairs was AWESOME! I had some of the most interesting, most delicious drinks I have ever had in my life. They may have been $16 but damn. On my 21st birthday, it was definitely worth it. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was just because of how expensive everything was. I was expecting it but at the same time...sheesh! Parking was especially a bitch, I would have liked to have no parked valet, but oh well.
by Wayne Beaumonte on A classic. I went here in the 70s and I went here last month. Timeless. This is like the Prince of Wales on the peninsula, comfortable almost to the point of seamy (and some would debate that "almost"), making it a good place to take a first or second date. If they don't like the place, that'd be my sign to drop them. Oysters on Friday, but the best time is the Sunday afternoon party. Get there early or you'll be queued up, and what's stupider than standing in line to get into a dive?
