by Johnsie Wojtkowski on So this place is often dubbed the "Best dance club in San Francisco." If thats really the case than thats not saying much for San Francisco's nightlife. I've been here a few times for some birthdays, but have never had that great of a time. Dont get me wrong, this club is beautiful- yes- beautiful. Ruby Skye preserved it's theater look, which is pretty cool. But thats the only reason why this place is getting 3 stars. The drinks are EXPENSIVE!!!! I'm no cheapskate, especially when it comes to having a good time, but it gets to a point where its crazy! $11 for a Corona? No bueno! They also usually only play trance/techno music. Sorry, but glow sticks and E aren't my thing. I don't care that your eyes are rolling in the back of your head and your sucking on a pacifier- lets dance! *NOT*!!!

Ummmm... no the music sounds better with you so I'll take a left into the bar. WOW! Slide to the left to the right, contrasts for sure. Keep going back and it's a new experience every time. Bartenders set the standard for service, funny, killer cocktails and inventive shots. DJ's play requests... unusual! Entertainment in the E Room - Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights till 2 AM. by Vida M. on Horrible. I went for a Frat event after they'd just opened with some friends. The only reason I went. We were ALL SICK the next day. I drink high end to avoid the hangovers and sickness, they were mixing expensive and cheap liquor. Had to have been. HAD TO! They have sofas surrounding the dance floor with little velvet ropes sectioning off the little love seats. This is a paid feature. Who pays for that? They have "sky" boxes as a VIP so you can see the big empty dance floor. Like weed? Go here, everyone was smoking the night we were there, EWW my hair smelled horrible when I'd left. I felt dirty. I have never been back.
