One of the great places to see word class DJ's spin. However, either I'm getting really old or the crowd is getting really annoying! I swear I was not that annoying when I was 23! Sheesh! Anyway, still a great venue. Next time, I will come early like I used to ... to avoid the lines!

I went to the aquarium not too long after it opened... Wasnt thrilled in the least. The food was over priced, the tickets were over priced, the touch tanks were not open, there were empty tanks down hallways, the walk through tank was crowded and loud, and there werent that many exhibits to look at. The aquarium in Tenn. was much better. To be honest, it doesnt take THAT LONG to go to Tenn. to see it and I dont think the tickets were as high. Don't get me wrong, I understand that this aquarium has things/animals/fishies/ etc. that others may not have. But the fact remains that if thats all you really have going for you..... people walk away less than thrilled.I hate to leave negative feedback, but on this one.... I can't find many positives. I did like the sting rays... and whale sharks...

This Saturday started out with Christmas shopping and errand running and one thing led to another... yadda yadda yadda I ended up dancing my a$$ off at 2 in the morning at Beauty Bar. My only regret was that since I hadn't planned on going out that night, I was in my errand-running attire, which was not appropriate for the crowd at Beauty Bar. I should have been wearing my skinny hipster jeans, heels, and cami and should have taken hours doing my hair and makeup, but looked like I just wake up in the morning that way. Other than that (and the $5 cover) it was a super good time. They had a cover band playing when we walked in and they played a little Back to the Future set starting with "Earth Angel" followed by "Johnny Be Good." Jokes, quoting of the movie, and hilarity ensued. Then the DJ started and he was insane. He mixed all sorts of songs together and I was amazed by his talent. This could be partly because I don't understand how to go about mixing tracks, but that's just me. All in all, super fun. Just make sure you are dressed appropriately.
