by Michael Isgro on I enjoyed the mexican martini, as promised it's pretty much 3 drinks in one. Although I didn't order food, my friend ordered the stuffed avocado and it looked delicious. They're really not kidding around about the the 2 drink max. On 3 different occasions, 3 different waiters made sure to remind us that we were "cut off" after our 2 martinis. We get it bros. Drinks were good, I'd like to check out the food next time I'm there, but I wasn't too thrilled about the condescending attitude from the waitstaff.
by Wiley Skar on I've been here a few times before, and decided it would be a good choice for a chill night out with a fellow member of the white coat Cosa Nostra. The wait in the line was a touch long at about 30 minutes, delayed in part by the jackasses trying to talk the doormen into letting them without waiting in "just this once" and the half-naked "I'd be in the Marina if only I were born white" girls (at least two of whom were my exes. Doh!) trying to tramp their way in. Four stars for doormen keeping cool and collected despite provocation. Once inside though, the art was predictably excellent and the drinks were served with professionalism, speed, and a heavy hand on the bottle. Seriously for each scotch neat I ordered I probably got about four shots of the stuff, with a VERY reasonable price. Substance at the bar, presentation on the walls. Five stars. The DJs were mediocre (in the front room) and poor (in the back room at the dance floor), and relied on volume to compensate for poor beat matching. Two stars. The crowd was mixed, but people tended to keep in their cliques with minimal mixing, except for the one drunk frat boy who broke in to tell my companion and I that we would "have gorgeous babies". Two stars, for an overall score of three of five. Oh and for the frat boy - my babies with ANYONE would be gorgeous, thank you very much... now you and your striped wearing "brah" can get the HELL out of my review!
by Lucy L. on I like this place, its a good place to go when you don't want to spend too much $$, as you know city night life can gets expensive, also a good place to go when you have a low-key night with gfs.. like you don't really have to dress up fancy to get in.. The music is good that's the major reason I go. when it gets crowed.. it's really hard to dance or move from point A-B...
