Came here with two friends and we each ordered 3 different burgers and split them into thirds so we can sample the burgers we selected. Honestly, is ok but not one of the best in Philly. It was pricey for a burger and it did not come with fries.

Sidetracks food is good - not great, what lets it down is the service and the snotty atmosphere. Servers never overly pleasent and like to congregate at the hostess stand & talk mostly - clearly overstaffed & badly managed. Its also a little pricey for the area. Like the decor but think its a bit much for the area, dont think they will ever get the crowd they desire

I am going to say that I heard so much about this place, that my friends had set the bar to possibly utopian standards. But I was warned that it would be extremely crowded, which held to be true by about 1030 PM. Dress nicely or you can expect not to get in, we learned that after a friend of ours was turned away for a dress code violation (I felt so moded after trying to talk to the bouncer to let my friend in.) But no hassle from the bouncers as long as you show some respect and smile and the respect is given in turn. When you walk in you will first notice how friggin humid the place is, for a place that charges 14 dollars for a drink, you would think they could solve that problem with a few well placed fans from Costco. I know it's SF and you don't really need A/C, but you could at least place fans to keep the crowd comfortable. I like the decor of the place, but I wasn't loving it. We attempted to get bottle service; spur of the moment decission, but it was booked so we decided just to go downstairs and party. Can we say it felt like a dungeon down there, low ceilings and humidity like a Mofo. I can say this about the bar downstairs, the bartenders are mad friendly and pretty good, but what you can say about the drinks they serve is that they don't do the 5 second count when they pour your liquor which means you get some watered down drinks. The music was just o.k., I know as a DJ you try to keep the party going by playing music all folks will dance to. But when you spread yourself too thin trying to please everyone, you make no one happy. The music was all stuff I have on my IPod, minus the Madonna, but seriously the crowd needed all the great music the DJ could provide. This scene was not something I was feeling, because I simply expected too much from it. I really do want to try the food here next time I go, but I think I will bring my own personal cooling unit, aka a fan, because that heat was completely insufferable. I can say that I saw more cougars on the prowl here and dirty old men than I have in a while, but don't let that bring your spirits down. If the owners or managers of Bubble lounge read Rateclub reviews, please take note and buy more fans and install them because you got to do something about that humidity which is a buzz killer.
